Can you really change your own story?
We let you in behind the scenes as we use our own tools to fix our own stories
We made a commitment when we started the LookUP Substack.
We would be utterly transparent in trying our own tools and methods and what it meant for our own individual challenges. As a community we hope you will share your experiences too.
This is the first month of trying this approach. And what an eye-opener it has been.
Be The Director helps you refine your story, or start it from scratch. In our cases we had very different scenarios coming into the exercise.
Matthew has been refining his story iteratively over the last 4 years of working for himself, honing it repeatedly, but needed to refresh it to make the relationship between his consultancy life and the new world of LookUP that we find ourself in makes sense.

Caroline has worked for herself for 11 years, and not only was her consultancy in need of a story refresh, she now runs 3 businesses, and came to the stark realisation that her own story had become unclear.

Both approaches show how the Be The Director approach can be used for different scenarios, and can be a framework you use fluidly (and repeatedly) over time to keep your focus.
We’d love to hear your thoughts! And do share your experiences as you experiment with the approach, we’ll be starting some threads to hear how you’re getting on! We’ll be launching a guided course to use the framework, so let us know if you’re keen on being involved at caroline@wearelookup.com or matthew@wearelookup.com or DM us
